GERD GERHARD, WATERCOLOURIST

Landscape and Architectural Paintings

INTRODUCTION

Drawing and Painting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Although pushed into the background during my middle years due to career and family commitments, I eagerly picked it up again as soon as I retired, and moved to Cheshire.

In 1999 I joined a local Art Society and was introduced to Watercolour Painting which, over the years, has become my main medium, providing countless hours of relaxation and enjoyment!

I paint my subjects fairly realistically, using a varied palette to suit the subject and mood I wish to depict. My favourite subjects are:

Landscapes from Coasts to Mountains

Woodland through all Seasons

Buildings with History and Character.

I have exhibited my work both in the United Kingdom (Northwest Region and London) and abroad (Germany, USA). Some of my paintings are in private collections in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, and the USA.

My involvement with local Art Societies continues, and I enjoy passing on my experience to others interested in my main pastime:

Painting in Watercolour!
